Email spam is a constant problem on the internet. One way that we can help protect CTC members is by making sure your password is complex enough to protect you from accounts being used to send spam.
Remember, CTC will never ask for your password over email or on the phone or in an email, and we’re not asking for that now. But, we are asking you to change your current password for accounts [emailaddress]
Go to goctc.com and click on the Change Password banner or the link at the top of the page or go to http://goctc.com/changepassword Enter your current email address and password:
If you don’t remember your password, call us at 218-454-1234 and press 1 at the prompt to retrieve it.
Select ‘Sign In’
On the next page, select ‘Change my password’
Enter, your new password. You can also select ‘Suggest Password’
Your new password must meet the password requirements that follow
10 characters, with at least 1 lowercase letter, 1 capital letter, 1 number and 1 special character.
Also may not be the same as your username.

Change Your Password In Your Email Client
You will not be able to send or receive email in your email program until you change the password. Open your mail program and follow the directions to change your password.
For IOS
Open your mail program to check for mail. The next time you check for mail, the program will notify you that the password is incorrect.
Select ‘Settings’
This will take you to the mail settings for the account. Select the password section and clear the current password for INCOMING MAIL SERVER by pressing the back button. Type in your new password.
Then, select SMTP for OUTGOING MAIL SERVER. Repeat the process as above and enter your new password.
Select ‘Done’ when complete. This concludes directions for changing a password in iOS
For Outlook
Under ‘File’ select Account Settings then select Account Settings again.
Select your account and select ‘Change’
Replace the current password with the new password in the space provided
Android
For setting up email for Android, first find the email app.
Open the app, and if this is the first time it has been setup, enter your email address and password in the space provided.
For CTC email that was setup at the time of your order, you will need to select ‘Manual Setup’ to continue.
On the next screen, select ‘POP3 account’.
On the following screen, ‘Incoming server settings’, enter the username (the name before the @ symbol) and the password. Below the password, make sure the ‘POP3 server’ name is mail.brainerd.net
Repeat this process for the ‘Outgoing server settings’
Select ‘Next’ to set further settings and to name the account. Select ’Done’ when completed to be brought your email account Inbox.

Step 1- Click on the menu button.
Then click options.
Then click options again.
Then press security tab.
Then press saved passwords.
Then Press remove all.
Then press close and close the program. When you reopen it will prompt you to enter the new password.
