Why are some emails continuously coming back to my inbox?
This is caused by a miss communication between the webmail server and the mail client you are using. The server never got the flag from the client saying I got this message don't send it again so the server continues to send those emails even if they are deleted. Here are some things you can try to resolve the issue.
- If you are using POP email turn off the setting called keep a copy of the message on the server in your mail programs advanced email settings. This will remove all messages from the server and store them solely on your device. Make sure you turn this setting back on if you want the server to continue storing messages after you have removed the problem messages.
- Log on to the webmail box and try deleting problem messages. You can log directly into the server by going to mail.brainerd.net and signing in with your email and password.
- Try to remove the account from the device and rebuild it. This will remove all emails stored on your device. If you need those emails still make sure you or have an IT technician back up a copy of the emails on your computer.
