Accessing the Spam Filter:
This will bring you to the login page for the spam filter. You can either log in with your existing credentials or you can create a new password to log in.
(Note: This password is different than your email password.)
To create a new password enter your email address in for the username and leave the password blank then hit create new password. This will email your email a new password that you can use to log in. You will land on the main login page.
From the main login page, you will see your spam inbox. This shows any messages that were quarantined. You have a couple of actions that can be applied to each message.
- Deliver - This will send the message to your inbox this one time.
- Whitelist - This will send the message to your inbox and permanently allow messages from this user through to your inbox.
- Delete - This will delete the selected message.
*Please note messages older than 30 days will be removed automatically.
At the top of the page in the preferences tab you have options to change the whitelist/blocklist, Quarantine settings, Spam Settings, and change your password.
From the Whitelist/Blocklist you can add addresses to either be always allowed (whitelist) or always blocked (blocklist). To add just enter the full email or the domain into the blank then select the add button. If you need to delete an entry just click the trash can next to the item you would like to delete.
Here you can turn the quarantine on or off. This will start allowing all spam through to your inbox. Some other settings you can change is to add a notification. This will send you a daily or weekly notification to an email you specify with a summary of items that have been quarantined. This can be useful to make sure nothing important gets trapped in the spam filter. The last setting just sets the default language.
This is the setting that scores the messages based on content. If you turn this option off all messages will be delivered to your inbox without being scored.
