What is Roku?
The ROKU is both a device, and a service. The ROKU device is a small computer that you
connect to your TV that converts a digital signal from your internet connection into television
programs that you can watch.
How do I connect it?
You will need a free HDMI input on your television or monitor as well as a wired or wireless
internet connection.
What is the ROKU service?
The ROKU service is where you sign up to be able to use the features of the ROKU device by
registering.
How do I sign up?
You’ll need a credit or debit card and a computer or mobile device connected to the internet
to enable the ROKU device.
How does it work?
After you connect and register your ROKU you can begin to watch programs on your TV
through what are called apps. TV providers like Showtime and HBO and other services like
YouTube or Amazon make their apps available for you to view their programming.
Will I have to register for each service?
Yes, there are both free and paid services for your ROKU, some of them require registration at
the provider’s site.
What is Skitter?
Skitter is a service and app that CTC provides that will show live local stations like ABC, CBS, and
NBC and more.
How do I get Skitter?
If you already have a ROKU 4 or above, you can register with CTC and we will send you the
information needed to connect your ROKU to Skitter.
What if I don’t have a ROKU?
CTC can provide a ROKU that you can purchase when you sign up for the Skitter service.
